I myself am not even using the hardware (this and my Naga Chroma) for traditional gaming, but for other dedicated programs. Many thanks for the reply, and again, accepted, I understand Mac is a minority platform for Razer. Reading the file is still possible off-line.Ĭan anyone from Razer Support weigh in on this? What am I missing? For example if you take your Razer profile offline, your hardware can read the config file (locally stored), but is unable to ‘write’ to the local file, until you go back online with Synapse. Reading and writing functionality are independent of each other.
I would understand the problems of ‘live updating’ through multiple guests to one host (like professional editing softwares for example), but Synapse works in a one-way street method.
The program is the file reader/writer.Ĭloud-based storage (host) for the config file (or meta-data), Synapse (guest/ file reader/writer) links the config file (online) to the hardware in your list.īecause Synapse for Mac lacks the Chroma Configurator (a specific file writer functionality, to the overall program), it should still have the full file reader functionality, independent of an OS, as the Synapse software is directly mapping to a Razer product.
doc, and if you or I have Word installed (irrespective of OS), we can open the same file.
Thanks for the reply, yes accepted, Chroma Configurator for Mac is only for the Blackwidow Chroma presently (this is a question within itself, how only one keyboard and not the others, if you’ve already cracked the OS, but I’ll focus on the above question.)Ĭan Razer Synapse work happily between multiple OS as a file reader/writer? Making the current lack of a Chroma configurator for Mac painful, but not impossible to work around in the meantime.Ĭloud-based storage is normally OS independent with the main program installed on each OS.
I asked the same through the submit feedback option in Synapse, but Razer support never answered the question, they just repeated the No Chroma Configurator for MacOS! mantra and left it at that.Īny advice from the forum members will be greatly appreciated. Has anyone successfully imported/loaded a Razer profile (that used Chroma Configurator) from another OS (Windows or Linux) onto a Mac via Synapse Cloud?Ĭan I set up my Ornata Chroma on a separate Windows system with Synapse installed (which will have Chroma Configurator) and then access the same configuration through Synapse on a Mac?ĭo Chroma Configurator profiles carry across multiple OS's correctly (being cloud based, you think they should) or is there still going to be a Mac/ Synapse related issue at the end, like Synapse not seeing the device in the list afterwards, etc?
I’m trying to figure out a workaround for the lack of Chroma Configurator option in Synapse for MacOS. Hi all, I have a bit of a Noob question, which I can't seem to find the answer to on the Razer forum.
